Wing Tzung Kung Fu (Wing Chun)

Wing Tzung Kung Fu (Wing Chun)

Wing Tzung, known as Wing Chun,  is a type of Chinese martial art, broadly known in the Western world as Kung fu, that specializes in close-range combat. According to legend, Yim Wing-Tsun—this means "beautiful springtime"—learned the fighting technique from a Buddhist nun and used these skills to defeat a local warlord in the late 17th century.

Instructor Sifu Martin Gonzalez trained under Sifu Ralph Haenel and took seminars with Sisok Michael Casey.  His technician levels are through Sifu Emin Boztepe.  He was a member of the International Organization of Wing Tsun under Leung Ting until the organization split and then he followed Sifu Emin Boztepe.  Sifu Emin Boztepe is where the "Z" in Tzung comes from and the "G" is for Sifu Martin Gonzalez himself.

This martial art utilizes the practice of balance, structure, and stance. One should be like a piece of bamboo: firm but flexible. This structure is used to either deflect external forces or redirect them into the ground.
